Many of the latest mobile phones and devices are capable of accessing the internet using high speed 3G technology. It’s great for checking your emails and a spot of web browsing to keep up to date with everything, when you are on holiday here in Spain. The only drawback is the cost of the roaming data fees you get charged. So, if your mobile device is unlocked, which means you can put a different sim card in it and it still works, you can get a pay as you go sim card here in Spain and access the internet without those large costs. You will of course need to know the configuration settings, to set up the 3G connection with your Spanish service provider. Below is a list of all the information you should need, for the major Spanish mobile operators, to get you onto the internet. These settings are exactly the same for 3G internet dongles too, but your dongle does need to be unlocked to accept the new sim card.

You can also plug your 3G mobile phone into your netbook or laptop, which will allow your computer to access high speed internet too. Most mobile phones are supplied with the software to let you do this, and you can usually download the latest version from the manufacturers web site if you need it.
