Skype is a program that you (normally) run on your computer, which allows you to talk to other Skype users all over the world completely free of charge. You can add ‘credit’ to your free Skype account and then make very cheap calls to landline numbers and mobiles. Many millions of people around the world use Skype every day instead of using traditional and more expensive phone services. The only drawback is that you need to be at your computer to take advantage of Skype, or run it on your smartphone. Well, now that has all changed!

calls. The RTX Dualphone is an all-
No computer is required! This phone plugs directly into the back of your broadband internet router. The Skype program runs on the telephone itself and you can make and receive Skype calls whenever you want. It is cordless, using DECT technology, so you can use this phone like any other cordless phone. The Skype menus are built into the phone, are absolute simplicity to use, and the handset has a full colour display. Oh, and by the way, the sound quality is exceptional.
This phone also allows you to plug it directly into your Movistar phone socket and
make and receive normal landline calls too. So you have the benefit of using Movistar
to make your national calls within Spain, receive your normal landline calls, and
make and receive Skype calls, all using the same phone.
Please note that this is a phone, not a computer! It will not make Skype video calls and cannot use Skype chat. You will need to use your computer if you wish to make a Skype video call, or use the Skype chat facility.
I have had my dualphone for over four years now and I use it every single day, so I can personally vouch for how fantastic it is.
